"Eco-Fun"
Hello! Welcome to Eco-fun. My mission is to show you, the interested individual, that environmental clean up can be fun. Go for a run, bike, swim, climb, walk, ski, hike, whatever! Small steps eventually lead to a great distance.
"eco-running"
Once upon a beautiful spring day in 2007, Sam Huber went for a run in his local park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He couldnt help but notice the gorgeous area around him was tarnished with an over abundance of trash and litter. Like many of us who love the environment, Sam got fed up with the current conditions and decided to take environmental clean up into his own hands. He grabbed a near by trash bag and proceeded to collect any trash he saw along the way. He later coined the term "Eco-Running" to embody this simple, helpful, and fun philosophy.
Eco-running doesn't just have to be running. You can go Eco-Hiking, Eco-swimming, Eco-biking, Eco-surfing, Eco-climbing, Eco-camping, Eco-Walking or anything else you can possibly do outdoors, as long you take the trash you find along the way to its rightful place: The Trash Can!! :O

Personal carbon foot print reduction
Relating back to my comment on my previous post. Its seems that food and services(i.e. transportation) are the biggest offenders in my emissions footprint. Recently I have taken steps to curb this absurd output of energy fueled by my daily habits. I have for the most part discontinued purchasing individually packaged processed foods. I have also limited the amount I go out to eat at restaurants to once a week. On the planet resource scale, if everyone lived like me, it now will take about 3 planets to provide enough resources to support all of us. Its on the decline! Whats next? individual vegetable gardens to eliminate mass scale production, transportation and industry?? What are you doing to minimize your carbon footprint? (visit the bottom of my page to find out!)
My personal carbon footprint.
according to Http://www.Footprintnetwork.org, i am responsible for these percentages of carbon emissions in 5 fields: Services= 43% Goods=10% Mobility=8% Shelter=13% Food=27%
My "Eco" mission to Deer creek park (AKA, The Quarry), in Rocklin, California. This old granite quarry is home to many large, featured boulders that are frequently used for rock climbing. It is also unfortunately home to a large accumulation of trash, left behind mostly by disrepectful, careless partyers. I decided to take it upon myself and clean up the area and go for a quick climb as well. The majority of trash i found consisted of beer bottles, cans, boxes , rubber profilatics and various forms of plastics. Alot of the trash was piled in hard to reach locations in between the many boulders throughout the area. At the end of the day i was not suprised that i had managed to fill two extra large trash bags.
